Who we are
PageCamp(“PageCamp,” “we,” “us”) is a note application for Windows, Mac, iPhone, and iPad, provided by Chris Creates, LLC. This policy covers the PageCamp application and the website at getpagecamp.com. If you have any questions, contact us at support@getpagecamp.com.
Our local-first principle
PageCamp has no servers of its own. Your documents and app settings are stored on your own computer. We do not run a backend that receives, stores, or processes your notes. Because of this, most of the data practices that other apps describe simply don't apply to us — there is no account, no profile, and no copy of your content held by us.
What we do not collect
- No analytics or telemetry. PageCamp includes no usage tracking, no crash/error reporting, and no advertising or marketing trackers.
- No account. There is no sign-up and no login. We never ask for your name, email, or password to use the app.
- No selling of data.We do not sell, rent, or share personal information, because we don't collect it.
Data stored on your device
Your notes, notebooks, journals, and scrapbooks are saved as ordinary files on your computer. PageCamp also keeps a small local database for app metadata and preferences (such as recent files and your chosen settings). All of this stays on your device under your control, and you can move, back up, or delete it like any other file.
Optional cloud sync (OneDrive, Google Drive & iCloud)
PageCamp offers optional cloud sync so you can back up your documents and use them across your own devices. Sync is off until you choose to connect an account, and you can disconnect at any time. When you connect a provider, the following applies:
- Google Drive. PageCamp requests only the
drive.filescope. This limits PageCamp to the files you create or open with PageCamp — it cannot see, read, or access the rest of your Google Drive. - Microsoft OneDrive. PageCamp requests only the
Files.ReadWrite.AppFolderpermission. This limits PageCamp to its own dedicated application folder in your OneDrive — it cannot access your other OneDrive files. - Apple iCloud. On Mac, iPhone, and iPad, PageCamp can store its documents in your own iCloud Drive, within the app's own storage area. Your files stay in your Apple account, under your control.
- Where your files go. When sync is enabled, your documents transfer directly between your computer and the cloud account you chose. They are stored in your Microsoft or Google account, under your control. PageCamp operates no intermediary server, and we never receive a copy of your files.
- Authorization tokens. The access and refresh tokens that authorize sync are stored securely in your operating system's keychain / credential manager on your device. They are never transmitted to us.
Google API Services User Data Policy
PageCamp's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. PageCamp uses Google user data only to provide the cloud sync feature you turn on, does not transfer it to others except to provide or improve that feature, does not use it for advertising, and allows no humans to read it.
Disconnecting and revoking access
You can disconnect a cloud account from within PageCamp at any time. You can also revoke PageCamp's access directly from your provider:
- Google: myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Microsoft: account.live.com/consent/Manage
Purchases and licensing
On Windows, buying PageCamp Pro is handled by our payments provider, Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the merchant of record. On Mac, iPhone, and iPad, purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. In both cases, the provider collects and processes your payment and contact details under their own privacy policy, and we do not receive or store your payment card information.
To unlock Pro on Windows, the PageCamp app communicates with Lemon Squeezy's License API to activate and validate your license. For this, the app transmits your license keyand a short label identifying your device (an “instance name”). This is the only personal-data exchange the app performs, and it exists solely to verify your purchase. On Apple platforms, purchase verification is handled by the App Store.
The PageCamp website
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. To deliver and secure the site, Vercel may process standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type in its server logs, under Vercel's privacy policy. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies on this site and run no third-party tracking.
The support form
If you contact us through the support form on this website, the name, email address, and message you submit are sent to us by email using Resend, our email delivery provider, acting on our behalf. We use this information only to read and reply to your message. We don't use it for marketing, and there's no tracking pixel in our replies. You can always reach us directly instead at support@getpagecamp.com.
Data retention and deletion
Because your data lives on your device — and, if you enable sync, in your own cloud account — you remain in control of it at all times. You can delete documents, uninstall the app, revoke cloud access, or deactivate your license whenever you like. We hold no separate copy of your content to delete on your behalf.
Children's privacy
PageCamp is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Since we collect no personal information through the app, this is reinforced by design.
International users
We do not collect or transfer your personal data across borders, because we don't collect it. Any cross-border processing related to cloud sync or payments is performed by your chosen provider (Microsoft, Google, or Lemon Squeezy) under their own terms and policies.
Changes to this policy
As PageCamp grows — for example, as cloud sync rolls out — we may update this policy. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date above, and we'll describe any material change clearly.
